For most of us the awareness of good posture wasn’t (and still isn’t) part of our education.
As a result you may have developed poor postural habits along the way and live with pain.
The lack of knowledge of how the body is designed to work is the reason for many ailments you may be suffering from.
I believe that living intelligently is to empower ourselves with knowledge.
Did any of these ever help you? Let me guess, no it didn’t!
If you get anything from your visit here today, please let it be this:
do not repeat those words to yourself or anyone, it’s nonsense!
I’m not about a method – I believe that understanding how the body is designed to work and use that to self-educate ourselves puts us in a more powerful place.
I’m not about regiment – educating gently and being the example goes so much further and I’m sure you agree.
If you are serious about understanding posture to help yourself and your children, then realise this:
Together we can improve the quality of your life.
Can you see what’s happening to the children of today? Poor posture in childhood can lead to a life time of chronic pain as well as low self-esteem.
I come to schools to teach teachers & parents on how to introduce posture education to the children in a non-disciplinary way.
Empower your children, give them the knowledge to take care of themselves.
Back pain is the no.1 reason for sick-leave in the work-place and the lack of understanding of posture is the no. 1 cause of back problems.
I bring posture awareness to your office and teach your employees the benefits of good posture and how they can avoid back pain.
My passion for posture (good that is!) started during my yoga studies. After I graduated, I wanted to learn more and go deeper in understanding the body and movement. I found the Feldenkrais Method (a gentle form of movement that helps re-align the skeleton) and embarked on a 4-year training.
Yoga and the Feldenkrais Method have given me the knowledge & the tools as well as the confidence & strength to embark on a journey to raise awareness of good posture.
