While I was promoting my BETTER POSTURE for a BETTER LIFE online programme, I talked to a few people about their health issues and concerns (to see if my course was right for them).
Some people told me they had, what they referred to, ‘chronic pain’ (pain that doesn’t go away or comes and goes).
Others told me they felt their bodies were crooked and they had pain in one side – of the ribs or pelvis or in one shoulder or one foot/ankle/knee.
Most people had been to their GP (family doctor) and the outcome from these visits was anything but promising – pain killers were often offered and/or referred to someone else.
To cut a long story short, some people started believing that they had a disease because there wasn’t an explanation for their ‘condition’.
Now, in a different email I’m going to explain to you why GPs can’t tell you why you have back pain (or neck, knee, ankle, pelvis…).
But for now I just want you to know that aches & pains incl chronic pain isn’t a disease.
The (very high) likelihood is that the problem is due to the misalignments and muscle imbalances in the body. This means the bones have moved are are causing strain and stress to the body and hence the pain.
We all create misalignments (and muscle imbalances) in the body as we go about life because noone ever taught us how to go about life making sure we keep our structure, specially the spine, safe.
(Misalignments can also occur due to injuries)
But know YOU CAN GET BETTER and if you look at the feedback I receive, this is a fact!.
You can improve the alignment of your body and as a result get out of pain or at least reduce it considerably (it depends in what stage you are).
