We all carry hand bags or briefcases.
Some are big, some small.
Some are heavy and some are light.
Now, what side of your body do you carry it?
The likelihood is that you carry your bag always on the same side of your body.
The same goes for the shopping bags.
We also tend to hold our child’s or partner’s hands on the same side.
But why should this even be something we need to discuss?
Well, the truth of the matter is, if we always carry weight (our bags) on the same side of our bodies, day in, day out, year after year, it will makes us wonky.
Because, let’s face it, we don’t end up wonky by the grace of the gods!
The most common pattern in the body (as a result of how we move) out there in the world, is a shoulder lower than the other or one side of the body shorter than the other – and that was me many years ago.
This creates misalignments and muscle imbalances that soon or later will bring us discomfort and pain.
So, this week I’m raising awareness of hand bags and how to carry them to prevent a wonky body.
It’s all in the video below
