This and next week is all about the pelvis.
There is a lot I could say about the pelvis but that would mean a very long blog post…
All I want you to understand is that the pelvis is the centre of the body and the bridge between the lower and upper body.
What happens in the pelvis have an effect across the whole of the body, from head to toe.
Throughout our lives, the pelvis goes through a lot of stress and strain from poor postural habits eg the ‘bus stop pose’ to giving birth.
When we have issues going on in the pelvis eg is out of alignment there will be no bone in the body that won’t be, somehow out of alignment too.
This can be the root problem for many conditions such as back pain.
This week’s somatic Feldenkrais exercise, that I named ‘pelvis o’clock’, focus on the pelvis and is quite magical and can bring much needed healing to the body.
